The General Candidates Will gets Only 4 attempts to Crack this examination. |

IPS Exam Eligibility IPS stands for Indian Police Service and for joining in this great organization, the candidates have to succeed in the civil service examination conducted by the union public service commission. The eligibility criteria for IPS civil service examination are given below: Age requirement: During the year of applying for the examination the candidate must have attained 21 years of age on 1st of August. So, minimum age limit is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 in the case of candidates coming under general category and 33 for OBC candidates and 35 for candidates coming under SC/ST category. Educational qualification: The candidate must be a degree holder of any discipline from a recognized university. The candidates who are in the final year of their degree course can also apply for the examination. Physical qualification for IPS: Height: The male candidate should be 165cm and female candidate should be 150cm for general category candidates. In the case of candidates coming under SC/ST/OBC the height required is 160cm for male and 145cm for female. Chest: Minimum requirement in the case of male candidates is 84cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. In the case of female candidates the minimum requirement is 79cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. Eye sight: 6/12 or 6/9 distant vision for worse eye and 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. Near vision for worse eye is J2 and for good eye is J1. |

Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the above mentioned website Candidates may also apply offline the common application form devised by the commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated head post offices/post offices. good luck |

If you just appeared in final year exames and result are about to come then you can also go for IPS exmaes but you will have to show the proof of get pass. |

The only Educational qualification required for IPS: You should have completed your graduation in any discipline from any recognized university. Other qulifications: Age limit: Should have crossed 21 years. But should not have crossed 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs . Physical Standard: Height – Male 165 cm Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 Blood pressure (High) – Age 23 – 123, age 24 – 124, age 25 –122, age 28 – 124, age 30 –125, age 32 – 126, age 34 – 127. Others: Good listening & normal ear cavity. Candidate should not stammer while speaking. |

IPS exam conducted by UPSC.To sit in the exam of IPS, candidate should complete their Graduation from any recognised university.Undergraduate graduate candidates who are in final year can also appear in the exam. BBA is also equal to graduate degree.so you can apply for the exam. Age should between 21 to 30 for general and other categories get relaxation in upper age limit. General candidate got 4 attempts, OBC -7 and SC/ST-no limit. Height for Men- 165cm for general and 160 for other category. Women-150cm for general and 145 for other category. |

Re: After BBA can I give IPS entrance exam? Yes you are eligible to write CS exam after BBA. CS or civil services exam is conducted by upsc. Any graduate can write this exam. No matter which discipline. Remember civil service exam is one of the toughest exams in India. To become an IPS you have to secure a top rank in CS exam. This exam is conducted in mainly three phases i.e. Civil service aptitude test, civil service mains followed by interview process. Aptitude test consists of two papers general studies and a aptitude test paper. General studies check your knowledge in indian history, geography, economics, indian climate, current affairs etc. You should have vast knowledge in this subjects. Aptitude test will check your thinking ability, decision making skills, comprehension in english language. In mains exam you will have a language of your choice and compulsory english. So, you should master the language also. Also you will have two optional subjects. Two subjects have to be choosed by you from the list of 25 optional subjects. One subject definitely you will choose management and other you should choice in which you have the most interest. You will find the list from the upsc website mentioned later. To do well extensive study in there optional subjects are also required. Another thing I would like to mention you should start gathering general knowledge. You should keep yourself updated of different current affairs. You must read at least one national level newspaper daily. Open your eyes to know what changes are being in indian and world economics, politics. Start preparing right now and work very hard Good Luck |

There are some criteria for appearing in UPSC civil service exam- 1.Your age should be in between 21-30 years.. 2.you must have complete your graduation in any stream.. note:if you are in final year then you can also appear in IPS exam.... There are some extension in age for OBC,SC/ST- For OBC category the age extension is 3years.. For SC/ST category the age extension is 5years.. so, if you really want to become an IPS officer and you fulfill the criteria then go for it... All the best.. |
