Please suggest the best possible university/instt which is also economical. I am aware of Amity and SRM offering such courses but they are more commercial and costly. |

Re: Eligibilty and entrance exam for admission in Nanotechnology? hi Eligibility Criteria Firstly the applicant must be an Indian citizen and then the applicant is considered eligible for the course if he/she has at least 55% aggregate marks for General/OBC Category candidates and at least 50% aggregate marks for SC/ST and PD Category candidates in the qualifying degree that includes B.E. / B.Tech degree in Biotechnology/ Biomedical Engg. / Bioinformatics/ Chemical Engg. or M.Sc. in Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology / Chemistry best of luck |

Charan Singh University, Meerut with a curriculum that provides ample theoretical and practical knowledge. It also prepares students to enter dry and wet research in various fields of biotechnology like Molecular biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Genetic engineering, Bio-informatics etc. the eligibility is :- you should have passed B.Sc. examination in biotechnology/ botany /zoology/ life sciences/ microbiology/ biochemistry with minimum 45% marks. ok |

Hello jibran, you can persue M.tech in nanotechnology,today the hottest research in nanotechnology for computers is introduction of 'graphene' computer chip in place of silicon,which will enable the upcoming computers to work 10 times better then,silicon computer chips. However,for m.tech from IIT's you have to chrack GATE entrance exam,which is conducted by IIT's for admission to m.tech programs.Detail from offficial website of any IIT,FOR EXAMPLE-http://www.gate.iitb.ac.in/gate2010_website/ You can also persue M.sc in nanotech,from IIT's for it you have to crack IIT-JAM,which is conducted for admission into m.sc courses at IIT.Details from official website of any IIT. There are many institutions which have started courses in nanotechnology Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore; Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore; National Physical Laboratory, Delhi; Solid State Physics Laboratory, Delhi; National Chemical Laboratory, Pune; Central Scientific Instruments Organization, Chandigarh; Defence Materials Store Research & Development Organizations, kanpur Indian Institutes of Technology at Kanpur, Chennai, Guwahati, Delhi and Mumbai. In private sector also, there is one institute, Amity Institute of nanotechnology, Noida, which offers a two- year M. Tech degree programme.
