i gave my online enat today and got a score of 99/240.. do i at all stand a chance to get into any good branch in manipal institute of engg.. n if at all yes, which branch can i expect???

Well dear your ENAT score is too low to expect even a seat in MIT.

Generally candidate having minimum 120 in ENAT are called for first counselling, and generally counselling goes up to 5th round. Candidates having less then 100, are generally doesn't gets chance to appear for counselling even. So expecting for any branch or seat is far away.

Basically it has been seen that candidates having around 100 doesn't get good branch. Maximum of what they can expect is Industrial production, Instrumentation and control like branches, which are less valued.

And also there rank will reach anything around 9,000 or above.

The number of seats in Manipal is approx 1500, and so their cut off remains around 100-110. But if you are getting below this, then may be you would called for counseling , but you will get lower branches like Industrial production or textile etc. So decision depends on you.

yes u can get a good branch may be ece n cs n all other

i was called for 1st round of counselling in manipal but my date of counselling is the last date of 1st round can i get mechanical if not which streams can i get

Yes, you have scored adequate marks in the ENAT exam to qualify with a decent rank.
Going by last year's records, you may not get a seat in computer science or electronics and telecom but you will easily get a seat in all other branches available. Good luck to you

Fortunately for you, Bio related courses have the lowest cut off as compared to the math related branches(cs,ece,eee,mechanical, civil, etc.).

The usual cut off for qualification is around 100-105 marks. So you still are just clear of the borderline, and can exxpect a call in the last round of counselling(mostly the fifth one, going by previous records)

getting a seat in Manipal university with 2-digit marks is impossible as the cut off for the last seat is about 100-105 marks and that too the branch offered are textile engineering, manufacturing, etc. which are not reknown courses and have less value.

Computer branch unfortunately has the highest cut off as all the top rankers prefer computer science engineering(cse) and the cut off this year will be above 140.

You may try in other deemed universities such as BITS, VIT, SRM, etc.

130/240 is a decent score in the manipal ENAT exam. You may not get a call for the first round of counselling as the competition is tough and there are a lot more number of students who have reached the 150+ mark this time as compared to last year.

but you may not worry as you'll get the branch of your choice eventually as the topper will mostly opt for better universities like IITs, NITs, BITs etc before manipal and thus leaving you with an option to choose the branch ofyour choice(except in computer science and electrical and telecom, as these branches are most sought after by toppers).

Yes, a score in excess of 130 is considered decent as far as the manipal ENAT exam is concerned. You may not get a call for the first round of counselling but will eventually be called to choose the branch of your choice and the campus as well.

The counselling process will begin in june.

Getting a seat will also depend upon the branch you want, for example getting a seat in computer science will be difficult whereas a seat in mechanical, civil has lower cut off and thus will be easier to get a seat.

Yes, you can definitely expect a call for the first counselling. Usually over the past years those with 140+ have been called for the first session so 149 is adequate to be called for the first round itself. Congratulations on your marks.

The cut off for the manipal ENAT is in the range of 100-105, i am afraid that you are right on the border line for getting admission in any course in manipal university.

You can expect Bio related courses or textile and printing engineering with your score.

Getting branches like mechanical, civil, computer science, electrical is not likely with your score!

Aeronautical engineering is the branch of engineering science concerned with the design, construction and development of new technology in the field of aviation, space exploration and defense systems, commercial and military aircraft, spacecrafts and their components as well as satellites and missiles.

Based on previous year's counselling statistics, you are likely to get aeronautical engineering in Manipal university with 4149 rank. The expected cut off rank for this course will be around 4500(expected). I suggest you to attend the counselling session if you are serious about joining Manipal university.
