as i am in rural area & studying final year B.E unable to attend coaching classes.So pls give ideas how i can prepare for upsc-ies exam and i am from ece dept.i could be very thankfull for your answers.

Yes!! You can Fight any exams without any coaching classes and if you have the study material and power to understand that.

for this you have to focus on syllabus of IES.also you have to prepare for general studies.

IES entrance test or Indian Engineering Services entrance exam is designed for recruitment of engineers in government services.

IES Exam Selection Procedure:-
1) Written Exam:- Consist of 5 papers of 200 marks each.
2) Personality Interview: who have qualified in written test will be called for personal interview where their personality will be judged, the personality interview will be of 200 marks.

For your preparation you can take reference of the following books :-

1) Chapter Wise Solutions Of U.P.S.C. I.E.S. Electronics Engineering by Panel Of Experts
2) Electronics Engineering (O.T.) by Kumar.

So, don't tense take help of those books and i think you will crack easily upsc-ies .

Remember that what is needed for IES exam is only what we are taught in 4 yrs of engineering and if u have good command over that material ..it is enough ,no need for coaching.
Try as much as possible last year sample papers in last days of preparation.

ya u can prepare notes on ur own for single topic refer ur college lib put separate note download syslabus prepare according to it ......... daily check out ur g k for general ability as if i do all the best

o Release of IES 2012 Notification : 25 february 2012
o Last Date of submission of IES 2012 Application forms: 26 March 2012 ( Monday )

you should take the help of made easy notes and these notes photocopies u can get from hind book center in delhi near made easy coaching .use these notes and if any problem in understanding then use standard books to clear the doubt and for cheking ur preparation solve 10 years papers which is available in the market.
