IPCC is the intermediate exam of Chartered Accountancy course. The exam is divided into 2 groups with 7 subjects.

Group 1
Paper 1 Accounting
Paper 2 Business law, ethics and communication.
Paper 3 Costing and Financial Management
Paper 4 Taxation

Group 2
Paper 5 Advance Accounting
Paper 6 Auditing and Assurance
Paper 7 Information Technology and Strategic Management.

For passing you must have minimum 40% marks in each subject and in aggregate 50% marks in each group.

Its always better to do both groups, because there is carry forward and set off of marks between both the groups ie, To pass we require 200 marks in 1st group and 150 in 2nd group. If there is 206 in 1st group and 144 in 2nd group. 6 marks from 1st group is carried forward to 2nd group and you will get both groups.

Also in case of 2nd group there is 2 theory paper and only one problem paper. For students who hate theory is going to stuck here. So it is always better to do both groups.
