Pattern of Assam JAT:

The question paper for the Assam JAT examination is divided into four groups as follows:

Mathematics (100 marks)

Physics (100 marks)

Chemistry (100 marks)

Biology (100 marks)

*All the questions are Objective-cum-Subjective type, in which, the candidates have to solve multiple choice type questions as well as writing essay on the given topics and the time limit given for each paper is three hours.

*The questions in the entrance test are asked from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English of the general standard of 10+2 examination, of various educational Boards of India.

Eligibility for Assam JAT:

• The candidate should be above 17 years of age and must be a resident of the state of Assam.

• Candidates must have completed their higher secondary certificate course from the higher education council of the state of Assam or from any other approved board of education.

• The qualifying examination must be passed by the candidates with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC and 40% in case of ST) in aggregate in mathematics, chemistry, physics and English in the first attempt.

• For the B. Tech courses admission in Assam JAT Examination, candidates must be between the age group of 17 and 21 years of age and as far as upper age limit is concerned, a relaxation of three years is permitted to SC/ST candidates.

Every year the time and venue of the entrance is notified by the Director of Technical Education in Assam Gazette and other newspapers as well.
