APTRANSCO was established in the year 1999 by restructuring the AP State Electricity Board (APSEB). The APTRANSCO looks after the Trans-mission of Electricity in the State of Andhra Pradesh.  APTransco purchased power from various Generators and sold it to DISCOMs at Bulk Supply Tariff (BST) rates in conformity with the terms and conditions of the individual PPAs from the year 1999 to 2005.

APTransco stopped power trading and retained with powers of controlling system operations of Power Transmission in compliance with the Third Transfer Scheme notified by GoAP. APTRANSCO has won many awards such as Special Award - Transmission at India Power awards 2010, India Power Awards 2008, Power Line Magazine’s Experts Choice Award 2006, etc.

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The minimum age limit is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 40 years.

Educational Qualification and post qualification experience – The candidates must have done B.E/ B.Tech/ A.M.I.E in Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunications/ Electronics/ Electronics & communication, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
