Avanthi Institute of Engineering & Technology came into existence in the year 1999. The institute belongs to the Avanthi Group of Institutions. The institute works under the control of the Avanthi Educational Society. The institute is affiliated to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

The undergraduate courses available in the college are B.E (Computer Science & Engineering), B.E (Electrical & Electronics Engineering), B.E (Electronics & Communication Engineering), B.E (Information Technology), and B.E (Mechanical Engineering).

The postgraduate courses available in the college are M .Tech (Computer Science & Engineering), M. Tech (Information Technology), M. Tech (Software Engineering), and M. Tech (VLSI). The college also offers MBA and MCA courses.

Eligibility criteria for getting admission:

The candidates, who have passed 10+2 examination with Maths, Physics and Chemistry subjects, are eligible to apply for the B. E courses. They must get qualified in the EAMCET Examination conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, in order to get admission for the B. E course through Counseling.

The candidates, who have passed B.E / B. Tech degree in relevant discipline, are eligible to apply for the M. Tech course. They must get qualified in the GATE exam in order to get admission for the M. Tech course in the college.

The candidates, who have passed a graduate degree in any stream with Mathematics as a compulsory subject at the 10+2 level, are eligible to apply for the MCA course. The candidates, who have passed a graduate degree in any stream, are eligible to apply for the MBA course. They must get qualified in the ICET Entrance test in order to get admission for the MBA and MCA courses in the college.
