The Center for Development of Advanced Computing(C-DAC) offers the course of MCA. One of the papers in the third semester of the course is Operating Systems. The maximum mark of the paper is seventy and has duration of three hours. The question paper has eight questions, each of twelve marks. The questions in the papers are both short answer types as well as Long answer types. However there are no Multiple Choice questions in the question papers. Each of the main questions is divided into several sub-questions and no options are offered while answering them.

The maximum awarded for any of the sub-question is eight. Candidates should go through a large section of Mock based question in order to gain the maximum confidence. Furthermore, they should go through a large number of suggestions as well as through all the sections of the syllabus, as questions are frequently asked from all the section of different Modules. Solving previous years question is also a very favorable aspect for the candidates, as it offers them a light into the pattern as well as different types of questions been asked in the final exam.
