Occupational therapist and Kinesiologist are the medical professionals who help the patients to improve their physical illness. Even though they deal in the same work, the two professions differ in many aspects. Occupational therapists are the professionals who help the persons to develop their physical ability that are required to perform daily tasks. Kinesiologists are those professionals who specialize in the human body movements.

Occupational therapy is said to be the rehabilitation science that focuses in the improvement of human health by enabling them to perform significant and purposeful activities. The medical professionals who specialize in this area are called occupational therapist. They help the people to develop their physical ability to carry out daily tasks. Kinesiology is that science which focuses in the study of several principles of mechanics and structure that are related to human movement. This branch is also called human kinetics which is the scientific study of human movements. Kinesiologists are the professionals who studies the diverse mechanical elements related to human movements. They deal with the entire musculoskeletal system and the complicated ways in which it works. Their basic approach is to apply various scientifically proven medical principles for the analysis, maintenance and augmentation of person’s movement in all settings. In short they help the people to learn how to move properly and how to use their body to support various tasks. The kinesiologists are usually recruited in the fitness and research centers and in industrial clinics.

Key differentiators between Occupational Therapist and Kinesiologist

Occupational therapists are the professionals who help the people to develop their physical ability to perform daily tasks whereas Kinesiologist focuses in the study of mechanical and anatomical principles involved in the human movements.

Occupational therapist deal with the health issues of the people who have the conditions occurred due to mentally or physically or emotionally or developmentally whereas the Kinesiologist help the people to learn about how to move and how to use their body to support several tasks.

Although the occupational therapists and kinesiologists deal in the same theme, their work nature and related issues differs a lot.
