Don Bosco College of Education, Tura
Don Bosco College of Education, Tura came into existence in the year 2003 on the 11th of December and it is a self-financing institution. It is an institution of the Catholic Church belonging to the Don Bosco Educational Society. The college offers teacher education course with affiliation from the North Eastern Hill University. The institution is shortly called as DBCTE and it has been granted recognition by the National Council of Teacher Education on the 11th of December 2003 on the same day of its establishment.
Course Details:
The only course offered by the Don Bosco College of Education is Bachelor of Education course with an intake capacity 100 students per year. Candidates with not less than 50% of marks at the UG level or at the PG level are eligible to seek admission to the B. Ed course. The required percentage of marks in the case of SC/ST candidates belonging to the state of Meghalaya is 45% of marks at the UG or PG level.
Admission Procedure:
Reservation of seats will be made according to the reservation policy of the state of Meghalaya. Admission will be offered on first-come-first serve basis for candidates with at least 55% of marks at the UG or PG level graduation course conducted by the North Eastern Hill University. In the case of candidates from other universities, the required percentage of marks for admission under this method of admission is 60%. In the case of candidates, who have secured less than these percentages, admission will be based on the marks secured in the PG or UG level.
Issue of application forms:
The college issues application form and prospectus at the cost of Rs.400 and it can be obtained from the premises of the college or can also be downloaded from its website at www.dbcte.ac.in. In the case of downloading application, it must be submitted along with SBI DD for an amount of Rs.400 drawn in favor of the Principal, DBCTE payable at Chandmari Branch.
Documents to be submitted:
When submitting the application, candidates will have to attach the following documents along with DD for the said amount if the application was downloaded from the website of the college:
• Admit card of Class X or age certificate
• OBC/SC/BC/ST certificate, if applicable
• Mark sheet or certificate in support of the educational qualifications
Once, candidates are appointed, they will have to submit the following documents:
• Certificate of fitness from a registered medical practitioner, which should indicate the blood group of the candidate and the register number of the medical practitioner
• Originals of migration certificate issued by the NEHU, if the candidates are from any other university

Admission to B.Ed 2014 ?
is it possible to seek admission to b.ed if i have not clear the pg exam and will be reappearing in december?
