Re: Can I get direct admission in BCA 3rd year in Bangalore University being a Diploma holder in Information Science?
No sir there is no such provision available in any of universities. BCA stands for Bachelor of Computer Administration which is a 3 year course. For getting admission in this course you must have cleared 12th standard either from non-medical or through commerce.
Some colleges will give you direct admission on the behalf of your 12th performance while some will conduct entrance test. |

There is only procedure for second year admission and you can't get admission in 3rd year directly. Lateral entry admission is possible for diploma holder through entrance exam but only in second year.
Seats are limited for lateral entry admission and you need to perform well in the entrance exam for getting a top college. |

No, diploma holder are not eligible to get admission in 3RD year of BCA course. BCA stands for Bachelor of Computer Application.
The eligibility to get admission in course is candidate must have passed 10+2 from any recognised board with science stream and have mathematics as main paper. So, you are not eligible to get admission after pursuing diploma degree from any recognised university. |
