Re: Diploma in Electronics can apply for IPS exam or not?
To become an I.P.S Officer, candidates have to appear and qualify in Civil Service examination.
The examination is conducted by UPSC. The eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. So, you are not eligible to appear for the examination being a diploma holder. |

IPS stands for Indian Police Service and to be an IPS officer one is required to qualify the Civil Services examination held by UPSC once every year.
Further, the minimum education required for appearing in the Civil Services examination and therefore to become an IPS officer is a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. So, one the basis of Diploma in Electronics degree course which is not equivalent to a bachelor degree course you are not eligible for becoming an IPS officer unless you pursue a bachelor degree course and satisfy the other requirements for the same examination.
