I have recently completed 10th and want to take admission in NIFT for Diploma in Fashion Designing course. Does NIFT provides Diploma course? Entrance exams and syllabus of it?

Yes, NIFT Chennai provides two years full time diploma courses and 1 year post graduate diploma courses. Minimum qualifications required for the Diploma program is a pass in 10+2 in any discipline and candidates with 2 to 3 years experience, are preferred for the admission. There are Diploma in Fashion & Fit Style and Fashion Retail Store Operations. Candidates are selected for the diploma program on qualifying test / personal interview / presentation of past work. Selected candidates will be announced through the NIFT Chennai website. As far as my best knowledge is concerned, NIFT does not offer Diploma in Fashion Technology course. NIFT offers several courses namely,

>> Bachelor of Fashion Technology

>> Bachelor of Design

>> Master of Design

>> Master of Fashion Technology

>> Master of Fashion Management ..etc.,

The syllabus of entrance examination consists of the following sections,

* Creative Ability Test (CAT)
* General Ability Test (GAT)
* Situation Test which followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Sorry to inform you that NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) do not offers Diploma programme.
NIFT offers Bachelor's degree, Master's degree and Post graduate diploma programme.
NIFT conducts its own entrance test to admit candidates to various programme offered by it.
The minimum eligibility criteria for a candidate to appear in NIFT Examination is 12th pass in any discipline.
