Re: How to become a Mechanical engineer after ITI?
After passing the ITI, you can pursue Mechanical engineering. You are now qualified for lateral entry into the 3-year engineering diploma program after completing your ITI, however, because of the lateral entry and ITI, you will complete the mechanical engineer course in just 2 years.

Re: How to become a Mechanical engineer after ITI?
To become a Mechanical Engineer after ITI you can go for higher education such as BE/BTech or a diploma in Mechanical Engineer. The minimum education required for a Diploma course is a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with a minimum score of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board. Admission selection is done on the basis of performance in the state or university entrance examinations.
For BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering, a candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with a minimum score of 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized board. Admission selection is done on the basis of engineering entrance test scores accepted by the universities. |

Re: How to become a Mechanical engineer after ITI?
°°° Of course, you can become a mechanical engineer after ITI but for that you have to take admission in polytechnic course in the same stream in which you have completed your ITI course and after that you can get admission directly in 2nd year of b.tech course as well if you want to delete your graduation in engineering.
After ITI if you want to complete your polytechnic course then you will get admission directly in 2nd year of diploma course on the basis of percentage secured by you in your ITI course. |

Re: How to become a Mechanical engineer after ITI?
In my opinion you should go for engineering course directly because it saves your 2 years of diploma. As you have done 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as primary subjects then you can get admission to any engineering course directly by giving an entrance exam i.e. JEE.
Admission to various engineering colleges and allocation of seats in different courses is totally based on the rank secured in this entrance exam. In order to get a better college and course you need to get better rank. |

You have the option to study Mechanical engineering after passing the ITI. After finishing your ITI, you are now eligible for lateral entry into the three-year engineering diploma program. However, due to the lateral entry and ITI, you will finish the mechanical engineer course in just two years.

The candidates who are willing to pursue this course should have completed 10+2 exams with a minimum of 60% aggregate in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
BE Mechanical Engineering admissions are based on national-level entrance exams just like BTech courses. The top institutes select students based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced. The average BE Mechanical Engineering College fees in India is around INR 20,000 to 2 lakh per year. |
