If you have completed your diploma in mechanical engineering and want to pursue a degree in law, you can do so by appearing for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) or other law entrance exams. These exams are conducted by various universities and law schools in India and offer admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law courses.

After clearing the entrance exam, you can enroll in a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) program which is usually a three-year course. Alternatively, you can also opt for an integrated LLB program which is a five-year course.

For the undergraduate program (LLB), the eligibility criteria are as follows:
  • The candidate should have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates).
  • There is no age limit for the undergraduate program.

As a diploma engineer, you can still appear for CLAT if you meet the above-mentioned eligibility criteria. However, it is important to note that CLAT is a highly competitive exam, and you will need to prepare well to qualify for admission to a law program.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
