This is the new subject in ITI, i want to know about importance in ITI of it.

Employability skills are the core skills that are needed in nearly every job. These are the general skills that make someone desirable to an organization. Sometimes Employability skills are called foundational skills or job readiness skills. Employability skills include the soft skills that allow one to work well with others, apply knowledge to solve problems and fit into any work environment. They also include the professional skills that enable you to be successful in the workplace. These are also considered transferable skills because you can apply them to a job in any industry.

Because of the strong competition in the job market and the demand from employers for workers who can be adaptable, take the initiative, and handle a variety of duties in various settings, generic employability skills are crucial.

Basically employability is a skill not a subject. This term is used for a set of skills that an employer want from an employee. Employability skills are very desirable for recruiters as they are very beneficial for company growth. Here are some of the skills which a employer look for:-

Time management.
Technology use.
Problem-solving.
Communication skills.
Leadership.
Adaptability.

Companies are searching for candidates*who are versatile, take initiative, and can perform a range of tasks in a variety of contexts, therefore generic employability skills are vital and candidates should very much capable of this skill to get selected.
