I Am In Diploma Of Mechanical Engineering In Pune University.

State PCS conducts the entrance examination for the recruitment as RTO.

The required minimum educational qualification is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university.

The age limit varies with state and relaxation for reserved category.

So, candidates with diploma degree are not eligible to appear for the examination.

If you want to apply for RTO Officer after completing your Diploma in Mechanical Engineering then the answer is yes, you can apply. The minimum educational qualification required to apply for this post is a candidate must have passed a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized board. Diploma candidates are also eligible for some posts which you can check before applying. The minimum age to apply is 19 years and the maximum age is 37 years however there would be a 5-year age relaxation given to the backward classes.

RTO stands for Road Transport Officer. It is mainly for the following posts:-
Judicial Post
Assistant Engineer Post
Clerk Post.

After completion of diploma course in mechanical engineering you are eligible RTO exam in clerical post.

12th passed with minimum 60% marks.
Age should be in between 21 to 34 years.

Selection procedure:-
It is based on written exam and interview.
