Lateral entry procedure in NIT Colleges?

Sorry, to say that NIT's does not offers Lateral Entry admissions. Admissions are offered in first year of Graduate courses in NIT but, you cannot get lateral entry admission in NIT. So, there is no chance of getting Lateral Entry admission in NIT. Candidates who have completed 12th standard and those who have appeared, qualified and secured good rank in JEE Main examination are eligible to get admission in first year of Graduate courses in NIT.

There is no lateral entry in NIT colleges.
NIT college gives admission on the basis of JEE Main exam.
You can only get admission in NIT after passing 12th class with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

In case of NITs and IITs you won't get any lateral entry admission because there are no seats available for direct 2nd year admission. Only those who have 10+2 qualification can get admission in first year through JEE.

If you are a diploma holder and you want admission in B.Tech then you have to look for other institutes because NITs don't have any procedure.

I am sorry that you cannot get admission in NIT/IIT through lateral entry.

To be eligible for NIT candidate must have completed his/her 12th standard with
Mathematics,Physics & Chemistry as main subjects,as you are pursuing your diploma now
you cannot get admission in NIT.

But you can get seat in Universities/colleges through Lateral Entry Scheme which are in
your state,but for that you have clear your entrance test first.

You can also go for other degree courses like B.Com,B.Sc,B.A. after your diploma course
but you cannot get admission in NIT through Diploma.

But once you complete your Under-graduation program from the recognized
University/college then you are eligible to go for NIT/IIT for Post graduation program
through 'GATE' test.
