Re: NDA-1 eligibility after passing diploma?
NDA stands for National Defense Academy and to join NDA one is required to qualify NDA examination held twice every year by UPSC.
Further, the minimum education required for appearing in the NDA examination is a regular higher secondary school degree i.e; Class 12th in any stream from a recognized board of examination. So, having completed Diploma in Mechanical Engineering degree course instead of regular Class 12th academics, you are not eligible to appear in the NDA examination. For different opportunities available for your in defense sectors as per your qualifications, you can refer to the links www.joinindianarmy.nic.in, www.joinindiannavy.gov.in, and www.careerairforce.nic.in. |

Re: NDA-1 eligibility after passing diploma?
Those who have completed diploma in any engineering field are eligible for NDA exam , the only thing one has to be sure about is their age .
The age of candidate must be less the 18.5 years and they must also remember that the questions being asked in exam are related to maths, general knowledge, current affairs, social science and Science. It's a long procedure to take admission or to get selected for NDA. |

NDA is conducted by UPSC. It is conducted for recruitment in defence services.
So, you are not eligible to appear for the examination on the basis of diploma qualification. Examination is conducted in two stages. So, you can apply for different entry. For more information visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |
