Possibility to study AMIE Civil for Mechanical Diploma holder?

Sir,
I have completed my 3 years Diploma course in Mechanical Engineering. But now I wanted to pursue AMIE with Civil Engineering. Is it possible to study Civil Engineering after passing Diploma in Mechanical Engineering?

No, it is not possible to study AMIE Civil after completion of your three years Diploma course in Mechanical Engineering. You can take admission only in Mechanical Engineering course.

Admission Procedure :-
1. To get admission in AMIE, you need to apply for Senior Technician membership by obtaining the membership from the Institute.

2. After filling up the Membership form, the photograph and educational qualifications will be verified by a 'Supporter'. Anyone with AMIE/ MIE/ FIE grade will be considered as a 'Supporter' and if all the details are verified and found correct, you will be offered admission in AMIE course.

Can I study for AMIE Civil after B.Sc. degree with physics main and maths and chemistry as sub's? If possible, can I learn by correspondence course?
