Distance BEd and Ded both course are conveniently available but what I want to know is that will I be eligible for Teaching job after pursuing such course from distance?

Yes, a teaching job can be done after doing a distance BEd (Bachelor of Education) or DEd(Diploma in Education) course. The minimum qualification required for the DEd course is a candidate must have passed 10+2 in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board and these marks may vary from institute to institute. There is no age limit to apply for this course. For the BEd course, the minimum qualification required is a candidate must have passed a graduation/post-graduation in any relevant field from a recognized university. The minimum age limit should be 21 years and there is no upper age limit to apply for this course. Admission selection will be done on the basis of entrance examinations followed by a counseling process and may vary from institute to institute.

Yes, you can get teaching jobs and appear in Teacher Eligibility Test ( TET) after pursuing B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) and D.Ed. (Diploma in Education) degree course even in distance mode provided the institute from which you are pursuing the same degree course is approved for offering the same course in distance mode from the authorised regulatory board for distance education.

Distance degree is absolutely valid and acceptable for Government and Private teaching job in school .

The distance education degrees, offered by the universities with the consent of University Grants Commission through distance education mode would be applicable for Central Government jobs.

After completing Bachelor of Education or Diploma in education course, then you are very much eligible to apply for the post of a teacher in private as well as in government school.
If you have completed your Bachelor of Education or diploma course from a recognised distant University then, nobody can stop you from applying for the post of a teacher.
