Re: What are the disadvantages of polytechnic after 10th?
The disadvantages of polytechnic after 10th:-
The students are less exposed to mathematics and physics as a subject in diploma course as compared to students of a regular class 12th board. The higher study options in Abroad will be difficult with diploma course. The salary for diploma holders will be less compared to the engineering candidates. The graduation course will be valued higher in India than a diploma course. You will come across a lot of weak students in diploma, which will feel you frustrated sometimes. As career prospect a degree in any field is more valued than a diploma. |

Disadvantages of Polytechnic after 10th:&
No lateral entry in IIT's: After doing polytechnic after 10th you can get admission in IIT's after clearing JEE Main and Advance but you will be given admission in 1st year of engineering. So after 12th you should persue regular degree instead of polytechnic education. |

What are the disadvantages of polytechnic after 10th?
The main disadvantage of doing Polytechnic after 12th will be that, you will lose your two years and in some cases 1 year, if you are joining in polytechnic 2nd-year through the lateral entry on the basis of your 12th mark. Polytechnic is 3 years course and joining it after the 12th is not a wise decision. |
