Yes, the Diploma holders are eligible to appear for Common Entrance Examination which is known as LEET examination for getting admission in second year of B.E/ B.Tech course. But, you cannot appear for CET examination which is conducted for admission in First year of B.E/ B.Tech course. So, you cannot appear for CET examination that is conducted for admission in First year of B.E/ B.Tech course and you can appear for CET examination i.e., LEET examination which is conducted for admission in Second year of B.E/ B.Tech course.

Diploma holders can apply for Lateral Entry Entrance Tests only which is specially conducted for 2nd year admission in B.Tech courses.

Most of the B.Tech CETs are conducted for 1st year admission and only 10+2 PCM passed candidates are eligible for it.

Therefore, most of the CETs don't have a separate entrance exam for 2nd year lateral admission into B.Tech course.

You should apply for Lateral Engineering Entrance Test (LEET) which will save your one year and you will get admission directly in 2nd year of B.Tech course.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
