I am interested to apply an education loan in South Indian Bank. But I would not be able to provide a guarantor. But my friends told me that guarantor is necessary for applying an education loan. So, I would like to know that I can apply an education loan in this bank without a guarantor?

For education loan, guarantor or a coapplicant is absolutely required. There is no other way to apply, because of security concern. Banks usually don't risk on a single person for education loan.

Any person from your family, who is earning well, can become your guarantor. In some cases, you might even have to give them collateral security too.
