Respected Sir/Madam, I want to get GATE Scholarship as I have qualified in this entrance exam. However, I am doing MTech through PGCET. But I qualified GATE so, if I cancel my seat may I get scholarship from GATE?

You need to study MTech for two years to get the GATE scholarship which is released on a monthly basis. You have to study the course at an AICTE approved college or institute to become eligible for the stipend.

If you cancel the seat you can't apply for GATE scholarship and will not be eligible for it. AICTE has a process of giving the stipend which is only possible when you are studying in MTech.
