I want to study BTech. For, this I am going to apply an education loan in State Bank of Patiala. I just want to know about the eligibility criteria for me to apply an education loan in this bank. And is processing fee there in this bank for education loan?

Processing fees are not collected upfront for this scheme. Education loan to student studying abroad-

If the loan amount aware is more than rupees 4 lakhs a deposit of rupees 50000 needs to be paid.


Eligibility ( Gyan Jyoti Scheme ):

The student should be a citizen of India.

Student needs to secure admission to the course through a formal entrance test after completion of his or class 10th and class 12th.

For being eligible for an education loan, candidate must have taken admission in a professional course.

The admission must be taken ia a recognised institution with good placement facility.

The candidate applying for an education loan must have good academic record.

The bank provides loan for a tenure of 15 years.

No processing fee is charged and no margin for upto 4 lacs.

Eligibility Should be an Indian national residing in India.

A student should have secured admission to a premier institute as set by SBI.

Moratorium Period Course Period with an additional 1 year.

Expenses Covered Fee payable to College or University, Hostel charges.
