i got 116 marks in the exam..........what are my chances of getting into mechanical engg?.....can i pin up any hopes?.............plz......do reply...

Therez NUTHING such as cut-off and all....a guy scored 98 last year and made it to printing in manipal (how did he do that if he didnt clear of the so called cut off)???
100 mostly means u can make it but NOT into a good branch, if u want a good branch,go for 125 !

@the guy who scored 210: ull be in the top 20 dude...u can get any freeship
@the guy who scored 124:mech is tough even after up gradation.u may get civil in 1st counselling,and ene after up gradation
@the guy who scored 198:awesome,top 50.
@the guys who scored 150 and 157: ull get any branch u want,but freeship may be tough.
the guys below 100: sorry ,u will not be called for the first counselling.
@the guy who scored 116:u may get civil after upgradation,u may get biotech,ipe etc in first counseling.

for people above 150,no need to worry u will get ur desired branch...but abt freeship i think the right score will be about 170
for people in the range 125-135,u can get good branches,though u may have to wait for up gradation.(upgradation thing only for guys in 123-130 range)
for people below 100:sorry.try next time.
