Hi dear,

if you are engineer from heart then go for the core streams
electrical
civil
mechanical
whichever you want because money is avail for each engg. if you want to do what are you doing
at present for high starting salary you must go for a computer or related stream like IT or ECE but at the end of the day you will find it same.
Thanks

In engineering mainly there are two types of stream :-

1) Software stream

2) Core stream

In my opinion they are both very in their own respect:

1) Software stream :- Generally two departments are there like Computer sc. & engg. And Information Technology.

Scope in future:-

Now-a-days as recession is going on so it's better to choose core streams. But after 3-4 years it's market value will be much better.

2) Core Stream :- Generally consists of the streams like

ME,

Civil,

EE,

ECE,

EEE etc.

Both the streams computer science and IT are good and have equal criteria. The computer science means belongs to software field where as IT means information technology.
Other than computer science and IT the other streams are CIVIL,ECE,EEE and MECHANICAL ENGINEERING which have more demand in core companies.
The software graduates are not eligible for core companies where as core graduates can easily get the software jobs.
So take right decision and join in one good stream.

civil engineers are always in demand along with it if you are innovative and creativity comes from within you of its own then aeronautics and robotrics are some of the areas india is behind other countries and these areas are worked upon very substantially in india and get lots of funding .. so these can also result to be a good career option..
well what ever you decide decide it from your choice and area of intrest..
good luck. wish you a bright future

All the engineering streams are good and much prospective..

You can go for any stream..
But I will suggest you to go for that stream in which you have interest.

I am suggesting you some demanding streams among the other streams are :-

1.Electronics
2.Computer science
3.Mechanical
4.Civil

you can go for any of these field.
All these are very much demanding course, you will get much job opportunity after completion of BE/B.tech in any of these specialization.

So, go for it..

All the best.

Dear Friend,
As mechanical ,electrical and civil are evergreen so there is and always will a scope in this field and most of the openings in psus are from these areas so if you want to join in psus or give civils or any central govt job its always prefered to opt for any of these branch however if you want to buld a career in sw industries you better choose cse or it though there is recession now in this field but it will emerge back.
hope this will help you.
Thanks.

every engg stream has future . As construction of new buildings, bridges, roads will never stop there is always demand for civil engg. Telecom sector is already in full swing so ece branch has good future as they have future with comp like IOCL GAIL BSNL HAL etc .These companies also recruit from Electronic and electrical engg/mechanical engg / electrical engg. For for computer and IT branches like satyam ,accenture, wipro, dell, tcs and many more recruits. Mech. engg has great demand in producti on comp’

Well..it is difficult to point a finger against any one and say this has a good scope..

well..as previous posts suggest..mechanical engineering has been the stand out performer for quite a long time..

but..nothing goes on forever..always remember that..and mechanical engineering is quite hard to grasp as well..average students are not advised to take it...

you must have realised the drop in scope for computer science engineering field during the troubled economic times..although it is slowly gaining speed now..

my best bet would be on electrical engineering..be it communication or instrumentation..because it has been constant throughout...quite easy to grasp as well..

Both mechanical and electrical have very good scope. after completion if u join core companies you can earn well in both sectors.
so choose the stream which you find easier for you.
Electrical is a good option when compared to mechanical in terms of syllabus.
