Well for the PU(Punjab University) The Passing marks are also same like other University and they are also following the ugc criteria that they have given and for the MA Means Master in Arts it is also same whether you are doing MA From English subject or with any of the other subject.

The Passing marks required is 40% marks for the each subject and also a grand total of 40% marks in all the subjects and the student who get the 40% marks will be declare as a pass student but need to get the 40% marks in each and individual subject.

What if someone, god forbid, fails in one paper? can he/she appear for the respective paper along with the MA Part 2 papers?

what if someone, god forbid, fails a paper or two, will he/she still be able to appear for the supplementary exam along with the annual examination for MA part 2?
