there are few criteria for the student who appear in IES, some are: 1. an engineering graduate from an AICTE approved university. 2. Dear Friend,
IES is one of the good and prestigious exam. For IES your age must be within 21-30 years and you will be eligible for it only after completing your engineering degree or pursuing final year of your engineering. The exam is conducted by upsc . The criteria for IES exam is you have to complete your graduation in engineering.. and you must complete your btech in anyone of the following branch- 1.Electronics and communication 2.Electrical 3.Mechanical 4.Civil there is a age criteria, your age should be in between 21-30years.. if you fulfill the criteria , then you can appear in IES.. all the best.. |

I am mentioning all the two type of eligibility qualifications: Educational: Candidate must have obtained a degree in Engineering from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or has got equivalent degree. If you are talking about Engineering Services then you are not eligible. Only four branches:Electrical, Electronics, Civil and Mechanical are allowed. |

If you are familiar and can clear the Civil exam in the Engg Services exam, then you can apply for it otherwise leave it as it contains core syllabus of civil Engg. |

Detailed eligibility criteria for IES examination 1.Age must be more than 21 years and less than 30 years ( SC, St government servant is 5 years, for obc is 3 years and for physically challenged is 10 years) 2.The applicant must be citizen of india. 3. he should have degree in engineering, final year students too can apply for it, the candidates have to be physically fit as per guidlines by upsc. good luck..... |

A Post-graduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics for the IES and a Post-graduate degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics for the ISS, from a recognised University or equivalent

Well its good thing that you are working in ISRO and have working experience.The eligibility criteria is that you need to have degree certificate in B.E under the following category. 1.Mechanical engineering 2.Civil engineering 3.Electronics and telecommunication engineering 4.Electrical engineering. You must attain the age between 21-30 years.The last date of submission of form is on 24.01.2011,therefore the submission date has expire and your age will not be eligible for writing next year.
