There are different vaccancies which are declared by different railway boards so keep on visiting the railways website and apply for th exam of your choice and for which you are elligible.
you can also see employment newspaper from time to time.

In railways, vacancies are filled by two method, either you take IES exam or you apply for any post published in newspaper.
For the first one, One has to crack IES exam. After clearing IES, he will have three type of posts offered in railways:
-Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers
-Indian Railway Stores Service (Telecommunication/ Electronics Engineering Posts)
-Indian Telecommunication Service

For the second one, one has to wait for the advertisement , and apply accordingly. However in this case , they would seek an experienced person.

I am student of B.Tech(IT) final year from Lovely Professional University, Punjab. My university is UGC recognised, not AICTE.
and Jobs in Indian Railway for engineers require B.Tech of AICTE approved. Tell me that I am eligible for that or not?

Can you tell as to what all works you will be doing in coming 2011 /
your naswer will definately will be no.
So its really tough to tell as to what all are the vacancies about to come in coming years.
yes, we can just predict about 6 months vacancies only insome instances.

Hello,

After B.E. in ECE, you can apply for following jobs in Indian Railway.

1. Section Engineer OR

2. Junior Engineer OR

3. Asistant Station Master OR

4. Depot Material Superintendent ......... etc.

Hii..if you show interest towards govt jobs then do one thing.Subscribe to the sarakari naukari website you will be intimated via all kinds of railway and bank jobs.If you are eligible you can apply for them.Good luck

To get job in Indian Railway after B.tech in ECE,you should appear for Indian Engineering service exam.If you qualify this subject,you will posting as Electrical Engineering in Indian Railway.
