sorry, but you are not eligible for bitsat exam because the minimum marks required are 80% in aggregate in 12th class. You can do one thing, you can fill the form of rechecking for the subject in which you think that your marks can increase. May be your marks will increase and you become eligible.

To be eligible in BITSAT, candidates need to pass 12th with atleast 80% marks in aggregate in PCM. Also a candidate should score a min of 60% marks in each of phy, che & maths. Only those candidates who have passed 12th in 2009 or are appearing in 2010 are eligible to appear for BITSAT.

Dear friend the criteria of percentage changes every year.
Last time it was 80%.for this time you have check the criteria on the site of bitsat.

While filling the form online of Bitsat you will come to know the eligibility of it.

Its difficult for you to apply for BITSAT with 79.66% in XIIth.
Because only those students are eligible who have got 80% in XIIth.

you need to pass with 80% marks in your 12th exam.
as you score less you are not eligible

it is first grade engg. college having its all india level exam for undergraduate courses like b.e,b.sc+m.sc.
.the eligibility is full 80% in 10+2
.the minimum is that,at 79.6% is not possible in any direction.
there is a way,give a improvement exam once again.

Well that is very unlucky.
The minimum reqd percentage in 10+2 for BITSAT is 80% with atleast 60% in PCM.
You are a bit unlucky.

However you can apply for IIT-JEE , AIEEE and various other competitive exams.

no man you are not eligible because my friend got 79.67 even though he got rejected in early enquiry!

you need to have a minimum of 80% in all the science subjects(except Biology) and Mathematics

The Eligibility Criteria for BITSAT 2011 is:
Candidate should have have passed 12th class from recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Candidate should have obtained minimum 80% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and not less than 60% in each.
Candidate should have adequate proficiency in English.
Candidates who passed class 12th in 2010 or appearing in 2011 are eligible for BITSAT 2011.
Since your PCM marks is less than 80% you are not eligible for BITSAT 2011.

My son passed 11th with80.67% agreegate in PCM and in 12th with 79.67% agreegate in PCM. overall agreegate marks in PCM is 80.33%. Kindly suggest , is elligible for appearing in BITSAT 2011.

i mr. shekar from hyderabad. passed ap state inter ii year exam with maths physics and chemistry. i am having in all the papers 60% marks but my overaL % OF MARKS IS ONLY 79.01. WHEN ENGILISH IS WITH THIS MY % OF MARKS IS 82% SHALL I ELIGIBLE FOR BITSAT EXAM OR NOT. The minimum eligibility criteria is you must have scored atleast 80% in your class 12 and also atleast 60% in physics,chemistry and maths.

There is nothing to worry you can appear for any other entrance for engineering like-IIT-JEE,AIEEE etc.

and since you have scored 79.66%,which is very close.
but i dont think that BITSAT authority is going to compramise with that.

but you dont worry there are several exams like aieee and jee,prepare well for those exams.
