I am doing diploma in mechanical engineering under ugc approval college can i join merchant navy after completing my course

i had not completed 12th....directly a diploma candidate....after a diploma can i get a job in merchant navy ?....if yes > then what will be do in that field........at that what kind of post we get.? and how much salary around that job.....also if learning process is required from navy then how much fee or money pay for it........plz reply it...
