I want to apply for upsc exam...as i am studyg Bsc (horti) 2nd year,from now onwrs i want to prepare for exam....pls vl u help me on which subjcts i hv to concentrat......

Candidates should be the citizen of India.Candidates should complete graduation from recognized university.You should have age limit within 21 to 30 years.For OBC category age limit 21 to 33 years. For SC/ST category age limit 21 to 35 years.

How to prepare for IAS Exam

For becoming an Indian Administrative Service(IAS) Officer..a candidate must clear the Civil Services Exam which is conducted by the UPSC every year..

Candidates must satisfy the following conditions to appear for the UPSC Civil Services Exam :-

>> Candidate must be within the age limit of 21-30 years if belonging to the general category..

> OBC candidates must be within 21-33 years

> SC/ST candidate should be within 21-35 years of age..

>> candidate must have completed graduation in any stream from a recognized institute..

>> following number of attempts are applicable for candidates of various categories :-
> general - 4
> OBC - 7
> SC/ST - No limit

Note :- physically disabled candidates have age relaxation and restriction on the number of attempts as per their category..

So, yes you are eligible to appear for the Civil Services after your BCA..

There are 2 stages in the written examination :-

>> CSAT(Civil Services Aptitude Test) where your GK and aptitude shall be tested on the basis of 2 objective question papers..

>> Mains If you clear the CSAT then you will be eligible for the Mains Exam where your graduation knowledge along with English shall be tested..

If you clear the Mains also then you will be called for the Final Personal Interview..

The forms for the Civil Services Exam are available from 2nd February,2013 to 4th March,2013

The Prelims shall be held on 19th May,2013 and the Mains will be conducted on 8th November,2013

1.read newspaper daily and note imp news.
2.study books of ncert class 6th till 10th.
3.study good gk books.
4.prepare aptitude from rs aggarwal and refer some other good books too.
5.work hard..
6.never skip any portions.
7.prepare notes as they are easy to learn.
8.practice good english books.
