Yes of course you can take up your M Tech in any Different branch from your B Tech degree.

The only thing is to meet the minimum requirements for M Tech that you should have a minimum 60% aggregate in you B Tech.

Yes in M.tech you can select another Branch of Engineering.But for taking Admission in M.tech you will have to get pass in GATE Exam.This is a common Entrance Exam conducted by IIT in order to take admission in M.tech course.

Basic eligibility you will required for this are :-

-->>Your engineering degree should be approved from the AICTE.
