I want to suggest you that both courses are good. but you can see that the job opportunity for the vlsi is very low in the companies, while embedded courses are full of jobs.

so according to me you choose embedded courses in your further studies.

engineering.So its very good for you to choose any one of them as per your

interest.

In my suggestion you should choose embedded system because there is so

much scope in this field.Many mnc company do thier work on embedded

system.So its better to choose embedded system.


So choose any one and do hard work and you should have good knowledge

you see VLSI is better than Embeded technology.

but the problem is that,in india the job opportunities in VLSI field is very low.

there are fiew companies those are taking VLSI engineers.

but in india Embeded technology have huge demand on market.

and there have lots of Embeded companies. so Embeded technology has moe job opportunities.

1)vlsi and embedded both are the different coarses?
2)is there any branch which provide both coarses in iit college?
3)vlsi is better or embedded?

Both embedded system and VLSI consist of great demand.

VLSI is all related about chips a bit easier compared to embedded system.

Embedded systems is some what difficult.

But among the two my opinion is to go with the embedded systems.

According to me Embedded system is most demanded in today's industry. Embedded system is combination of both hardware and software.In Embedded system design you design hardware and do programming for that hardware,thus you will connect with both hardware and software.

For embedded system you should also be knowledgeable in computer language.Without kowledge of computer language you wont be able to learn embedded system.Embedded system has very wide scope.
VLSI is also very good subject.if you are not intrested in computer language you can choose VLSI.in VLSI you only design circuit there is no need of computer language.VLSI subject is suitable for those students which are intrested in circuit design not intrested in language.
VLSI also has very much scope because for any system circuit design is must.without circuit you can't design hardware.
Choose the course as per your area of interest.

there is a huge difference between these two.

VLSI- making a small chip with very high density.

EMBEDDED SYSTEM- how to use that chip in an efficient system.

as in INDIA there is no huge scope for getting a job in VLSI,

So my suggestion is go for embedded system.

Although VLSI and Embedded are highly prospective it depends on you level of interest, if you are a really hard worker then Go for VLSI because if you cna work hard and get a placement then you life is settled with a great package with decent hike every year, if you are a smart worker go for Embedded.
Regarding institutes, since most of the electronics MNCs are in bangalore, that is the best place to join for placements. many institutes are there and claim 100% placement, i recommend RV_VLSI design center. they are upright honest, and will give you tips you how to cover your percentages and which areas to work on and for good students we get multiple job offers especially in VLSI!!!
