I joined Infosys as a fresher and now I work for Cognizant. I believe as a fresher it is best to join Infosys to experience the world class training it offers. There is pressure of course and it demands hard work, some people are dropped out after the training and you might not be put to work in the same technology that you were trained on. But the training prepares you for the work ahead, improves learnability and instills confidence to take up any assignment even though you might not know the technology, but you can always learn. Salary wise, I think Cognizant is better. Both companies have global presence. Finally, It all depends on you. Both the companies are good, but wherever you join, if you have the right attitude and prepared to work hard and have good people skills, you will be successful. Go for whatever you heart tells you!

I am b.sc student.I got selected in cognizant on october 2010..But still now i didn't get the joining date.Can anybody say when will be my joining date.

Igate patni or infosys which is better for a fresher.Some say that in igate patni you will get abroad chances easily because of less competition and the growth there is more rapid, right now i'm in dilema in choosing one.The pay for both these companies are same.please suggest better choice for me.

But, If you want to earn more money and dont want to get knowledge and pressure, then i will suggest you, just join Cognizant.

So, if you want to get more knowledge, then please join Infosys. Because after joining this company, you will definatelty gain a great knowledge.

So, the choice is yours. Just choose according to your interest.

Cognizant has got more opportunities. It provides good growth in terms of career and salary. But the foundation of Congni is not solid on various fronts. I don't want to say that they can't do it, but Infosys has gone through the same situation 3 yrs back and has failed. I hope Cogni will manage the change little better.
If you want work in a company which has great culture, Join Infy. Open environment, ground to earth people {high probability, as there are few managers who have joined Infy from TCS and CTS recently}.

I have seen plenty of comments over here. I just tell you guys "WAIT AND SEE" in the coming days... Already Cognizant has overtaken the so called great wipro...and another thing is infosys s not so far....lol..... without the knowledge only cognizant is growing tremendously.... those who dont have sense ll not accept this. i am sorry for them...

OMG... u people are getting knowledge in infosys. but cognizant ppl are not having knowledge.. thats y it is growing faster than other companies. and now it has overtaken wipro. now nearing infosys.... cognizant employee are not machines to be in pressure. they are free minded active smart work guys..

But my dear friend,Don't be hesitate you go for CTS.Because,

5.>Quick Career Promotion.

6.>Higher salary Package.

But in infosys all are right but Promotion is so less.

Among these two institutions CTS is much more better than INFOSYS...

REASONS :

1.Good salary.

2.Nice working working environment.

3.Job satisfaction.

4.Job security.

My first company CTS i worked there for 4 years. Its cool cmpany to join as a fresher. No work pressure.. No bond nothing.... Training is much enough to work in projects...
So choose CTS... Better in all terms...

Growth... CTS
Stress... Infosys
Higher employee satisfaction rate... CTS
Job security... CTS
Onsites... both are equal

But the only thing that can help you out is this major point... "couple of years of hardwork in Infosys can help you in making your fundamentals strong(the training it gives is superior to cts) and make you accustomed to higher stress levels"

Considering your interest, it would be wise to go for CTS as u dont have a bond... You will need to sign in on your bond badly after your training is completed(at times you will need to submit the bond when training starts, but the bond period starts only after your training is completed)

B.Com with animation course and u have been offered with a developer post itself is a very good achievement, congrats... Growth in a company depends on how you work for the organisation according to their parameters... Infosys growth is slightly low when compared to other company's in that range...

The Date Of Joining will be as per the requirements of the company...You can probably expect it to be with 6-10 months from your date of selection... Yes u will undergo tests during your training...

Cognizant & infosys both companies are top companies in all over world .They provides much higher salary packages to their employers and their business is world wide famous.
But infosys is good for skill development, knowledge increment,provide good training to freshers, high class professionlism etc. as compare to cognizant.......thank you.

Yeah, do compare the salary packages of both. If there is not much of a difference, go for Infosys. However if you can earn in dollars, then ofcourse I don't need to day anything.

You can go for any of these..

My suggestion will be , wherever you get an opportunity , just go for it..

If you stay few years in any of these company, then you will gather lots of valuable experience in software field, also you will be able to get a high salary.

Infosys does more of spoon feeding during training unlike Cognizant. So if you want to grow as an individual then choice is Cognizant

See both these companies are more or less same.They hire the students with same procedure from different institutes according to the quality of the students. These two company hire same quality students.

There are three basic steps :

1. Online Aptitude Test
2. Technical Interview
3. Personal Interview.

There are more verbal section in Aptitude test in Infosys than C.T.S. and it is too hard to solve it. So generally C.T.S. aptitude question paper is easier than Infosys.

In my opinion Infosys is better than C.T.S. because I have heard some of the seniors in Infosys that only the training or Initial Learning Program is tough means approx 2 to 3 years you have to struggle in Infosys and then you job will be more or less secure.

But it is up on you and you have to choose regarding these views and also your own opinion. So choose the right one and then go for it.

Now the global job market is not consistant & Ithinks, you don't want to be in a company, where everyday you'll face challange to surrvive within the job & where there is a high probability to get terminated.

Likely you'll maybe like a company which gives you greater job stability and growth opportunity directly proportional to your performance. According to me, Learning is an attitude more over than a scope or opportunity.

These are the conditions why I've chosen COGNIZANT out of Infy, TCS & the said one.
