sir, i lost my 2 attempts in upsc, nd right now after accident i loose my right hand f means this is only for show up, so i applied for ph certificate nd i got > 40 % ( more than 40 %). sir am i applicable to go through ph category for ias nd there is any problem because of not a fixed % in ph certificate,nd if i can go through ph category then what is my no. of attempts nd age limit right now.i gave 2 attempts nd 11-08- 1984 born. sir please clear my doubt bz right now i'm under pressur nd i'm so diverted from my aim , sir please-2 guide me .

Yes friend,your eligible for IAS,but the pattern has changed from the civil service examination to the CSAT.There may be slight changes in the age limit,relaxation age and even the process of selection.

the age limit is around 21 years but you have to complete your graduation course.
You can get the application forms from your cities head post office.

The exam is conducted in three stages comprising of preliminary test,this test will be conducted in the selected 53 cities of the UPSC .
If your selected in Preliminary stage then you will go through the Mains,if you performed well in your mains then you go through the interview.

Of course, you can become an IAS officer. A physically handicapped candidates belonging to the general category shall be eligible for 7 attempts.

To become an IAS officer you need to appear in civil services exam conducted by UPSC.
The exam is held in 3 stages:
CSAT
mains exam
interview

The preparation for IAS exam should start in a focused manner. You should devote your full time for preparing for civil services exam. Hard work, determination & rigt strategy will help you to succeed in the exam.

Some of the books/magazines you can refer for CSAT are:

pratiyogita darpan magazine
Class 11th & 12th NCERT books of history, civic, geography & economics
India Year Book published by Government of India
Indian Economy by Rudra Dutt and Sundaram or Mishra & Puri

Eligibility criteria for IAS ,2011
Age limits :21-30 years
Relaxation on age:
SC and ST: 5 years
OBC :3 years
Physically handicapped persons : 10 years


Educational Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university

No of Permissible attempt :
For General category : 4
For OBCs category : 7
For SCs/STs category : no Limit

yea surely you are eligible.

physically handicapped students are also eligible for IAS examination. there is some reserved seat also for physically challenged person. but to get this facility you should have a valid medical certificate of your physically handicapped with more than 30% physically challenged.

to become IAS officer you have to give written examination and also interview. the written examination is conducted by UPSC and interview is taken by senior officer. the examinations are not so much easy and competition is very high. you have to study a lot to clear the examination and also you should have a good knowledge in aptitude to be an IAS officer after clearing the written examination and interview.


to make well in the examination you have to develop your general knowledge. you have to know economics, history, geography, political science etc subject as the syllabus of the examination is depend on these subjects. so buy good books from market of this subject to be prepare for the examination.

My son Master Lokesh have hearing loss problem (100%) but he studying well with help of hearing aids. Now he is studying 4th std .In 2 which group have to be take and what are the jobs available from government.
Don't mistaken me, I have to train up little bit for his feature.

Yes, you are eligible to write exam for IAS. There is even relaxation in age for physical handicapped persons.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services. For IAS you have to write UPSC Civil Services Exam. The exam is conducted every year. For Civil Services exam you must have completed graduation in any stream. The age limit for Civil Services exam is 21 years to 32 years.

Physical Requirements:

Height:- Male 165 cm & ST(not for SC and OBC) 160 cm.
Female 150 cm & ST(not for SC and OBC) 145 cm.
Chest:- Male minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.
Female minimum 79 cm. Expansion 5 cm.
Eye Sight:- 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good Eye
6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye.
Near Vision J1 for Good Eye and J2 for worst eye.

Study Material For IAS-
1. Study 6th to 10th NCERT books.
2. Read news papers and magazines daily.
3. Solve previous year papers.
