After independence from British raj on 1947, the first Prime Minister of free India was Late Jawaharlal Neheru. He was very fond of children and popularly called as "Chacha Neheru". Children's day on 14th November every year is marked as his birth day.

Jawaharlal Neheru is very popular due to his interest towards industrialization of free India as many developmental work were done at that time.

His younger sister was Krishna Hutheesing.She wrote several books on his brother.

Award: - He got Bharat ratna award in 1995 that is a India’s highest gallantry award.

Death: - Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru died on 27 may 1964 in New Delhi.
