Even i was planning to join KOSU Mtech , not sure what to do now!!!!!!!!!!!!

Karnataka State Open University is approved by UGC.

But not approved by AICTE.It will not create any problem in future study.

Your university is UGC approved so you are eligible for UPSC exam.

no...KSOU is recognised but you course is not..see the notification from MHRD india, and Distance Education Council in this regards of july,2011..
