you will get admission in the open house counselling which take place in mid september. last year many seats in quite a few college GGSIPU went vacant.

It is somewhat hard to get stream of your choice based on this rank since it all depends on cut-off which normally goes high and your rank is somewhat on lower side.
But, don't worry, there are other good options available out there (if you are unable to get your stream). Some of them are: DU, Lovely Professional University (LPU), PU, Thapar, BITS......etc; as they also provide good education and have better infrastructure as well.
