Re: Does private university require AICTE approval for Technical courses?
any university in india doesn't required any AICTE approval , because private university is declared by state government and it is approved by UGC.there are some private university mention in AICTE site which showing only institutes with national importance (means all inspection has been over by UGC ) .

As i think it is very important that a private college must be approved by AICTE (All India Council Of Technical Education.) Because some companies during job placement requires that the student passout from the college , that college must be approved by the AICTE. If the college is not approved by AICTE , then it must be affiliated to the university that in approved by the AICTE. thanks |

Re: Does private university require AICTE approval for Technical courses?
Hi
Every technical education institute whether it is private or government should be AICTE approved. As AICTE has the responsibility of maintaining and improving technical education so it is necessary for a institute to be AICTE approved. Also if a institute is AICTE approved that institute is called as recognized institute. And you know that in every entrance exams or interviews the basic eligibility criteria they want is that your institute should be a recognized institute. So never take admission in such institute which are not AICTE approved specially in technical institute or the institute of Architecture, Town Planning, Management, Pharmacy, Applied Arts and Crafts, Hotel Management and Catering Technology etc. should be AICTE approved. So never take admission in such technical institutes. GOOD LUCK |

Re: Does private university require AICTE approval for Technical courses?
As per Supreme Court order (Bharathidasan University VS AICTE) it clearly stated that for any Universities either private or Govt
AICTE permission is optional.AICTE are not decision factors to give the certifiactes.Only University has right 2 give the certificate. Since in any country only Ministry is suprimo.Ministry takes decision on the basis of UGC report. But not AICTE report.AICTE is one type of independent body but not authority on UGC.Only Ministry has authority on UGC. So in any where in the world only Ministry is decision factor. So UGC is suprimo for giving the degrees.AICTE cant refuse UGC recognized degrees. Since boss is UGC only but not AICTE. If conflict comes between AICTE and UGC then UGC is decision factor but not AICTE.(If UGC SAY NO MEANS NO ONLY,YES MEANS YES) Srinatha Karur |
