1.Must be a Graduate in Pharmaceutical field or A Final year pursuing candidate

2.Must be a citizen of India

3.Aged between 21 to 30 years for general category &

for OBC 33 years

Union Public Service Commission conducts All India Food Inspector Exam for the recruitment of food inspectors in various offices all over the country.

Qualification for FCI exam:

You must have graduation degree in any branch.
You must be in age of 18 to 27 yrears

Age relaxation
Your minimum age should be 18 years.
Your age should not cross above 28 years.
For SC/ST + 5 years
For OBC + 3 years

You must be Indian.

Qualification for food inspector exam:


You must be a graduate in Medicine or Candidate should have graduate in Science with Chemistry as one of the subject or A graduate in Agriculture/ Public Health / Pharmacy / Veterinary /Science Food Technology / Dairy Technology.

You must also have at-least one month training in Food inspection and sampling work approved by the Central Government or State Government.


Candidates age must be in between 21 years to 35 years

Upper age Relaxation is provided to candidate belonging to Reservation category.

Now as you have mentioned that you have completed graduation with commerce stream so you are not eligible for the food inspector exam as there is no chance to have chemistry as one of the subjects of graduation in commerce stream.

There Are Very Few Exams which Are Conduct in Order to Take The Candidates As Food Inspectors And Some Of The Exams Include UPSC entrance exam, All India Food Inspector Exam, and Punjab Food Supplies Department Exam.

UPSC Will Conduct Food Inspector Exam, So If You Are Interested To Become Food Inspector, Then You Must be above 21 years of Age at the Time of Exam.

And You Must also be a Graduate in the field of Food and safety.

OR

Candidates from the field of Chemistry, Agriculture and Biology are also Eligible to Appear in the Exam. So, It is not Necessary that the Candidate Should be From The Food Technology Area, Graduates From the Field of Chemistry, Biology are Also Allowed to Appear In Food Inspector Examination.
