The Basic Educational requirement is a Graduate from Recognized University in any field like Engineering, Arts ,Commerce etc.

INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE

This examination is conducted by UPSC (union public service commission).

Educational requirements-

graduation degree from a recognized college, what ever may the stream is ..

Age limit-
21-30 years for the GENERAL candidates,
21-33 years for the OBC candidates,
21-35 years the SC\ST candidates.

No. of attempts-

4 for the GENERAL candidates,
7 for the OBC candidates,.
no such restriction for the SC\ST candidates,

This examination has three stages-
1.CSAT,
2.MAINS,
3.INTERVIEW..

IAS - INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE, to become an IAS officer one should appear and crack the Civil Service exam conducted by UPSC once every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

So any Graduate from any stream it may be Engineering or Medical Degree are eligible to apply for Civil Service exam.

IAS stands for Indian Adminstrative Service. This exam conducted by the union public service commission once in a year.

It does not really matters which stream you belong to as they just look for graduates in any discipline from a recognized university.

Your age should be between 21-30 years.

At the most you can attempt for four times.

Selection procedure includes preliminary exams, main examination followed by interview.

educational Qualification For IAS Exam

A candidate can appear for the IAS Exam or popularly known as the Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC..only if :-

> The candidate has completed his/her graduation from a recognized University..

> The candidate must be within the age limit of 21-30 years if general..21-33 years if OBC and 21-35 years if SC/ST

Yes you are definitely eligible for appearing for the Civil Services Exam..

I have also attached the syllabus of the Preliminary Exam or CSAT..

You will have to clear the CSAT first and then the Mains and then you will be called for the final interview..
