Yes!
You must score the aggregate percentage in your diploma . After completing that you have to appear in exams to get into IIT They are:..... 1) JEE- which helps you to get seat in IIT if you have good rank That should should be qualified in your preferred IIT. I think you have got it!

After 10th now I am in 3yr polytechnic now what to do for getting admission in IIT or NIT what is procedure for jee mains for polytechnic students?

I have completed my 12th standard I have given JEE exam but failed I am doing diploma can I give JEE exam after my diploma

No you cannot get lateral entry into 2nd year in IIT after getting a diploma.
But you can go for some other college which offers lateral entry. Also you may choose to get into an IIT but for that you will have to give the JEE exam and get admission in 1stcyear engineering.

hlo...i have completed my 3 year diploma with 78% in textile designing (polytecnic engineering) and i want to my further education on the same subject from IITD ....so whats the procedure for getting into that........and please also tell me the cutoff for general category ..........reply me soon please...

Unfortunately you will not get admission in Indian Institute of Technology after completing diploma in engineering. At present there is no provision for diploma students to apply for B.Tech course in IIT.
