My daughter is in class 5th. Her dob is 17/05/2013. Her session of class 10th is 2027-28. Is she eligible to appear in board exam march 2028?

Yes, your daughter is eligible to give board exam in 2028.

As per CBSE criteria, minimum age limit for Class 10th is 14 years and there is no upper age limit.

And your daughter will achieve that criteria at that time . So don't worry .

The first thing I would like to let you know is that CBSE does not has any set minimum age criteria for appearing in the CBSE Class 10th board examination and it follows the age criteria as set by the concerned state examination board in which the school of the candidate is located and in general, it is around 14 years to 14 years and 6 months in case of most of the examination boards.

So, being born on 17.05.2013 and going to appear in the Class 10th board examination probably in March 2028, you will be definitely eligible for appearing in the Class 10th board examination 2028 as your age will be over 14 years and 6 months by March 2028.

It is the Directorate of State education who decides the age limit qualification with respect to appearing in the board examination.

There is no official notification with respect to same by CBSE and other boards. So, you can visit the official website or the concerned office to get details about the eligibility criteria.
