Hello sir, I have passed B.Tech in Civil Engineering course last year and preparing for government exam. I want to know age criteria and maximum terms to appear in GATE exam?

GATE is Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. This competitive entrance exam is for admission in Master of Technology in different engineering colleges of India. In last 5-6 years, this exam has become essential for candidates who are interested to get job in Public Sector Undertakings.

Top GATE rankers are shortlisted for group discussion and at last stage personal interview is conducted for final selection. Graduates in engineering or technology are eligible to apply for this entrance examination. To give level playing field to non engineering candidates, Master of science candidates can also apply for this exam.

There is no upper age limit and limitations on number of attempts for this exam. The most important advantage is that those who qualify this exam and get admission in M.Tech receive stipend of Rs 12,400 during whole period of course.

GATE(Graduate Aptitude Test) is a engineering test which is conducted by Indian Institute of Sciences and Indian Institute if Technology. Through this exam candidate get admission to post graduate degree in various fields of engineering.

Eligibility to apply for GATE exam:-

>> Minimum qualification required to apply for the GATE exam is bachelors degree from a recognized institute.

>> Minimum age limit to apply id 18 years and there is no maximum age criteria to apply for GATE exam.

Written Exam Pattern:-

>> Written exam is based on General Aptitude, Technical, Engineering Mathematics.

>> Written exam consists of 60 questions and carries 100 marks.

>> Duration of written exam is 3 hours.

Important Dates for upcoming GATE exam:-

Notification date:- 01 – September – 2017.

Last date of application:- 05 – October – 2017.

Availability of Admit card:- 17 – November – 2017.

Online exam date:-03,04 and 10,11 February – 2018.

Exam Result Date:- 17 – March – 2018.
