Age limit and eligibility criteria to become a Judge in High Court?
I am navdeep and pursuing BA LLB (1st year) from Rayat Bahra university mohali. I want to know that which entrance exams are there to be a judge. What is age limit and eligibility criteria to became a judge in high court.

To become High Court judge you have to qualify the entrance exam that is a state judicial Services Exam.
Aspirants must be Indian residents. Those who are applying for this post must be at least 45 years of age. Candidates who have practice as lawyers in the High Court for a certain period of time are also eligible. Candidates must be well prepared before appearing for the written exam and all the basic questions regarding law will be asked. |

> Candidate must be an Indian citizen. > Minimum age to become a judge in High Court is 45 years. > You should get the experience of minimum 10 years as lawyer. > The candidate should have law degree from any recognised University. |

Who is eligible to apply?
Candidates must be Indian residents. Those who are applying for this post must be atleast 45 years of age. As to become a judge,they must have served a legal office in India for not less than 10 years. Candidates who have practiced as lawyers in the High Court for a substantial time period are also eligible to apply for the post of High Court Judge. Those applicants who have the requisite qualifications can send their application to the Register General of the respective courts. |
