Qualifications :

First class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology OR First class Master’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology.

Note: Percentage of marks obtained for the above mentioned examination should also be furnished in the column prescribed for noting qualification for the post in the application forms. The term I class means “I Class with a minimum of 60% Aggregate Marks”(G.O(P) No.6/2003/H. Edn. Dated 24.1.2003)

Probation: Those who are appointed to the post shall from the date on which they join duty be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.

Liability to serve in the Defence Services

Persons appointed to the post shall be liable not withstanding that at the time of requisition they are holding higher appointments to serve for a minimum period of four years (including periods spent in training) in the Defence Services or an assignment relating to defence efforts anywhere in India or abroad if so required. The liability to serve in the defence services will be limited to the first ten years of service and will not ordinarily apply to persons above 40 years of age.

For becoming a lectureship you will have to get pass in UGC-NET Exam.After getting pass in this exam,you will be able to work as a lecturer in any colleges/universities.The two degrees which you will required to apply for this exam are :-

1. Undergraduate degree in Political science.
2. Post Graduate degree in Political science.

Marks required to apply for this exam is :-

• For General and OBC Category candidates - 55% marks in Post Graduation.
• For SC/ST Category candidates - 50% marks in Post Graduation.

Age :-

• As age limitation is applied for JRF(Junior Research Fellowship) Exam.In order to apply for this exam is 28 years.
• But you are going to apply for Lectureship Exam,so there is No age Limit.

Exam Pattern for UGC-NET Lectureship :- This exam will include 3 papers.Each paper will contain different number of questions and each will have different time duration.Its details are as follows -


PAPER I :-

1. This sections will include 60.
2. You will have to solve only 50 questions.
3. Questions will be objective type.
   
4. Total duration for this exam will be 80 minutes.

PAPER II :-

1. This sections will include 50 questions.
2. You will have to solve all questions.
3. All questions will be objective type.
   
4. Total duration for this exam will also be 80 minutes.

PAPER III :-

1. This section will include 75 questions.
2. All questions will be descriptive type.
3. All questions will be compulsory.
4. Total duration for this exam will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
